Still no belly picture.

How far along? 14 weeks and 1 day since my doc is basing my due date off my u/s which makes me due March 25th

Total weight gain: Down 8 lbs.  No idea how since we ate a ton of fast food on the road trip.  nice change though since I never lost anything with Smushy.
Maternity clothes? Yes.  And I actually just bought new stuff.  First new maternity clothes!  Whee!
Sleep: I got up to pee 3 times last night.  I don’t think I should be peeing so much this soon.  This does not bode well for the 3rd trimester.
Best moment this week: Finally getting a doctor’s appointment and scheduling my ultrasound.
Movement: I think so.  I feel taps after I eat and I felt a big roll after the doc took the doppler of me during my appt.
Gender: Yes.  But I don’t know which one.
Labor Signs: Nope.
Belly Button in or out? In.
What I miss: Wine.  Mmmm.
What I am looking forward to: My new maternity clothes to get here so I can have more than 2 pairs of pants that fit.
Weekly Wisdom: Don’t tell anyone your morning sickness may finally be letting up.  Because you’ll wake up feeling yucky again.  Stupid morning sickness!
Milestones: Second Trimester!  Whee!

Hey look at me!  Blogging when I say I will!  Progress!

So a few days ago we decided to quit all this unpacking nonsense and do something fun.  There was a huge fair going on not anywhere close to us, so that’s where we went.  I got to meet up with a few other mommy friends and we all had a great time.  Pics of my kid only since I don’t own those other people’s children.

There were very few rides my shorty was actually allowed on, but I think she still had fun.

Uhh. Maybe.

*Yawn* Elephants are slow.

Ok, so obviously not her most fun day ever, but she did fall asleep in her stroller which NEVER happens. So I call the day a success!

It’s taking us a lot longer than usual to get settled, but this is the first time we’ve done this with a kid, so I suppose that’s to be expected.  There is a garage full of boxes yet to be unpacked.  Frankly, I’m ignoring them.  The upstairs (where we actually do most of the existing) is a mess.  A Mess!  I can’t seem to get a grip on things.

We’re buying furniture every other day (thank you, Ikea) and still waiting on Smushy’s big girl bed to get here.  I’m on a search for a small round accent table that doesn’t cost a bazillion dollars.  Please send me one.  And Mr. Silly is putting together a curio cabinet rightthisminute.  Over there —–>.

The adjuster guy is coming out on Friday to look at all the things that broke in the move.  Nothing major except my bed.  Though that’s major enough since it sucks sharing a mattress one the floor with Smushy.  Also, I hate trying to get up from down there.

I found a school for Smushy.  She starts next month-2 days a week, 4 hours a day.  Just long enough for me to do a little grocery shopping or fit in a doctor’s appointment.  I’m pretty excited about it since I know it’ll be really good for her.  She’s not so good at the sharing lately and I’m hoping this helps with that.  She’s excited about playing with all the new toys and making new friends.  Win-win.

Speaking of doctor’s appointments, I finally have one.  Friday.  14 weeks.  Better late than never and at least they got me in fast.  That bodes well.  I did hear that my insurance coverage may have changed and they may not do the 20 week ultrasound unless “medically necessary”.  I hope that isn’t the case since I’m sure some innocent insurance rep does not want to deal with me.  Poor little insurance people.

Tomorrow I will post actual pictures, including Smushy riding on an elephant.  Stay tuned.

I feel like I’m jipping this second kid.  Poor thing.  No obsessing and stressing from Mommy.  Mostly I forget I’m pregnant.  Until my right ass hurts or I sneeze and feel like my insides are going to come flying out.  It’s just very different from last time.  I figured I’d do a weekly thing that I stole from some blog I can’t remember.  That way this kid has something.

**Insert Huge belly pic here.  Except I haven’t taken any since I just feel fat.  Maybe next week.**

How far along? 13 weeks
Total weight gain: I don’t know since I can’t seem to get in to see a doctor.  Stupid Navy *grumble grumble*
Maternity clothes? Yes.  For weeks now.  I caved.
Sleep: Pretty good.  Or as good as it can be sharing a queen mattress on the floor with a kicky toddler.
Best moment this week: Hearing the HB on our doppler and having my first baby/gender dreams.
Movement: Maybe?  Sometimes?  I still feel phantom kicks from my pregnancy with Smushy, so I never know which is that or if it’s real.
Gender: One or the other, probably.
Labor Signs: None, Thank God.
Belly Button in or out? In
What I miss: Eggs cooked over medium.  Mmmmmm.
What I am looking forward to: Having an actual doctor’s appointment.  At some point.  Maybe.
Weekly Wisdom: Milk it.  Pregnancy does not last forever.  Then you have to scoop cat crap all by yourself again.  (I should say, Mr. Silly is on litter box duty whether I’m pregnant or not.)
Milestones: Second Trimester!  Whee!

Sorta.  Also, very glad passwords are saved on this computer since I do not remember any of them anymore.  Gotta fix that.

So we have a house that is mostly unpacked.  Kinda.  Adjustments are being made.  I missed the internet.  I mean, I had my phone and just yesterday figured out how to get my email to go from there to here, so I know you commented and I didn’t respond but that was because I was locked out.  So I’m sorry.  I suck.

More updating and maybe some crappy cell phone pics to come.

Highlights:

  • My cat ran away in Texas the day we left and now I only have one cat.  *Sniffle*
  • The house is ummm AMAZING.  Love.
  • Rent is more expensive, but utilities are HELLA CHEAP.  Woo!
  • Horses.  Right next door.  And it doesn’t even stink.
  • Longest road trip ever.
