S: Ribbit Ribbit! I’m a frog!
(This can be done with any sound/animal combo. Today she was a penguin.)

M: Where’s Scamper?
S: I don’t know. Maaaaybeeee……

At a restaurant when it’s time to leave, she always grabs her little plastic cup of juice and says, “I take it?” and looks at me excitedly. She also does this whenever it’s time for a nap or any transition from one place to another. But she doesn’t really get upset if I say no.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
At nap time and at bedtime, she always wants a book to read quietly before she goes to sleep. I love listening to her “read” to herself and I’m pretty amazed at how much she remembers.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
S: Where Daddy? Daddy at work. Daddy coming.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
S: I fell down! I’m ok.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
S: Kitty so cute! Daddy so cute! Mommy so cute! Ayana so cute!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
S: No Samper, can’t go uppastairs.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
While covered head to toe with ribbon that I am trying to untangle from her hand-
M: You are so stuck! How did you do this?
S: Rabbit go round the tree, down the hole, then pull tight.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Picks up her “cheese rolly” and puts it to her cheek-
S: It’s too hot!
M: No, it’s just warm.
Moves it to her ear-
S: Hewwo? It’s not a telephone, it’s a cheese rolly.
